Our second generation expanded into all types of welding works in 1995 with Ganraj Welding Works, and in
2001, we launched Ganraj Motors, further solidifying our commitment to excellence in automotive services.
Now, with Garage On Wheels, we are bringing car maintenance to your doorstep. We understand the busy
schedules of our customers in Nashik, especially those in gated communities or offices. Our mobile service
allows you to save valuable time and reduce costs by servicing your car wherever it's parked.
We are committed to being eco-friendly by minimizing fuel consumption and reducing air pollution,

Mr. Subhash started Legacy in 1961, The Founder of Shekhar Motors Garage laid the foundation in Nashik City and there on established trust among people.

Mr. Shekhar K. Sonawane, the Founder of Garage On Wheels has always had an unwavering passion for machines and an equally strong dedication to physical fitness. His journey with machinery began at the tender age of 14 when he started working in the family-owned Shekhar Motors Garage, established by his brother, Mr. Subhash Sonawane, in 1961. The garage was named after Shekhar himself, reflecting his early enthusiasm and love for machines.
In 1978, Shekhar’s hands-on experience with machines began in earnest, and over the next six years, he honed his skills and deepened his understanding of automotive technology. His expertise soon led him to a significant opportunity to serve the Government of India as a technician with BSNL in Nashik, a position he took up in 1984. Over an impressive 35-year career with BSNL, he demonstrated the same dedication and passion that marked his early years in the garage. He retired in 2019, leaving behind a legacy of technical excellence.
Beyond his professional life, Mr. Shekhar is also a dedicated sportsman. He is an avid bike rider, cyclist, runner, and swimmer. His passion for physical fitness has earned him numerous awards in swimming, marathons, and cycling. Notably, he has been recognized multiple times at the MVP National Level Marathon for his dedication to sports. Even at his current age, Mr. Shekhar remains active, swimming and cycling daily, embodying a lifelong commitment to health and wellness.
Mr. Shekhar’s love for machines is not just confined to his work; he is also an avid rider, with a remarkable 1200 KM journey on his scooter—a feat that underscores his deep connection with engineering and mechanics.
The concept of Garage On Wheels, a mobile car maintenance service that brings convenience and efficiency to customers, was born from Mr. Shekhar's vision. His lifelong passion for machines and his forward-thinking approach laid the foundation for this innovative service, which continues to revolutionize car maintenance in Nashik.
Mr. Mukesh Subhash Sonawane

Mr. Mukesh Subhash Sonawane, the Founder of Ganraj Motors, has carried forward the proud legacy of his father, Mr. Subhash Sonawane, who established Shekhar Motors Garage. In 2001, with a passion for machines and a deep commitment to customer service, Mr. Mukesh founded Ganraj Motors, quickly earning a strong reputation for excellence, particularly with TATA passenger vehicles.
Over the past 23 years, Mr. Mukesh has built an impressive customer base of over 20,000 loyal clients in Nashik, who trust him for his expertise and unwavering dedication to their automotive needs. His deep knowledge of all types of passenger cars has made him a well-known and respected figure in the automotive industry.
Armed with a Master’s Degree, which he completed in 2000, Mr. Mukesh wasted no time in joining the family’s legacy of machine excellence, founding Ganraj Motors just a year later. His journey has been marked by a relentless pursuit of quality and customer satisfaction.
Now, as he prepares to take his vision to the next level with Garage On Wheels, Mr. Mukesh is passionate about expanding his expertise to provide top-notch doorstep services to customers across India. His goal is to bring the same level of excellence that has made Ganraj Motors a household name in Nashik to a PAN India audience, ensuring that the legacy of quality and trust continues to grow.
Mrs. Suvarna Umesh Sonawane

Supporting Mr. Shekhar’s vision is Mrs. Suvarna Umesh Sonawane, the dynamic CEO of Garage On Wheels. Armed with an MBA in Human Resources, she brings a fresh perspective and energetic leadership to the company. A passionate sportswoman herself, Mrs. Suvarna is an accomplished marathon runner who achieved 8th rank in the MVP National Marathon 2024. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond sports, as she has a clear and ambitious vision for the expansion of Garage On Wheels.
Under her leadership, the company is poised to expand its services beyond Nashik, with plans to launch operations in Pune, Mumbai, and Bangalore in the near future.

Mr. Rakesh Subhash Sonawane, Founder of Ganraj Welding Works (est. 1992), brings over three decades of experience in body shop and welding works. Under his leadership, the Garage On Wheels paint shop is equipped with modern equipment and a skilled team, handling denting and painting for over 30 vehicles (LV & MUV) at a time. Garage On Wheels is proud to have such an experienced chief of Bodyshop.
